This album is a follow up to the extremely successful Phuturesole which was released last year; an album which was dedicated to the sound of nu-jazz and left of centre 21st century soul.

Version ‘ni’ starts off with a remix of the sublime Pink Floyd cover by Open Door entitled ‘Breathe’.  The original Open Door mix from their debut album ‘What’s behind door number one’ on Solemusic was heavily supported by the likes of Giles Peterson, Groove Armada and Rainer Truby, to name but a few. This remix gives people an even deeper, psychedelic version and it is great to hear the even further electro slant given to this classic.

West London crew, Bugz in the Attic, probably one of the most respected producers of the whole scene, remix the delightful Susuma Yakota track ‘Could heaven ever be like this.’  A remake of the jazz drummer, Idris Mohammed ‘s track from 1977, the talented bugz throw in their various flava’s to bring this track bang up to date.

Bionic Boy Milton Jackson shows his diversity from his trademark deep house sound and provides a piece of twisted funk taken from his debut album on Glasgow Underground.

The Bug, Seiji gives the classic New Jersey garage track ‘It’s the music’ the Ladbroke Grove/West London treatment and turns out a laid back soulful affair.

Grand Central supremos, Rae & Christian do another fine remix in true carnival style of the Latin vibes of Faze Action’s ‘Samba.’

The extremely talented Kaidi Tatham goes under his Agent K guise from his forthcoming Laws of Motion album and as you would expect, true booty shakin electro funk from one of the true pioneers of stoned broken beats.  As well as playing on and producing over 150 singles and collaborating with artists such as 4-hero, Modaji, ltj bukem and zeddbias/maddslinky he has also been hailed, as London’s own Herbie Hancock!!
Has received dj and radio support from the likes of Giles Peterson, Ross Allen, Patrick Forge, King Britt, Francois Kervorkian, Jazzanova and Rainer Truby.

Taken from the globally acclaimed debut album on Solemusic, ‘Mashi’ is a deep electro jazz-fusion meets jazzy broken beats instrumental that has graced the turntables of all the usual suspects.  It has received excellent features and reviews in the best publications across the world including Seven, M8, Wax, Jockey Slut, Straight no Chaser, I DJ, Blues n Soul, DJ, Urban Flyer, Remix Magazine, Raveline, Montreal Mirror, Discoid, Groove, Plastiks, Spex, Frankfurter Neue Press to name but a few!

Based around the old Roy Ayers boogie classic “Changes” the Bugz give their interpretation and come up with a contemporary dance floor devastator!
Being hammered by everyone from Giles to Francois this is a heavy dose of futuristic funk soul…my brother!

Mr Hermano aka Chris Fleming and Ben Mitchell cover the Santana track of the same title.  This may be shock to some, but this record reached anthemic status in Ibiza last summer as a hedonistic dawn breaking anthem…without even a trance mix in sight!!
This 12inch was also one of THE tunes of the Jazz Rooms at Southport.
